Summer Pottery Camp 2010 Open

Have fun with the pottery wheel & other exciting activities at Artworks this summer. We will teach you lots of new creative techniques using the pottery wheel, clay handbuilding, slip casting and canvas art. During the 5 days, you will create 10 individual projects including pots thrown on the wheel, acrylic on canvas, hand-made frames, your own room plaque, animal shapes that you have poured yourself (slip casting) and new fantastic designs on ceramics. Artworks’ Pottery Camps run from 10.00 am– 1.00 pm Monday to Friday. Adult Pottery Evening

Artworks' next late night is Thursday 27th May between 6 and 10 pm. Tickets for the night are €20 per person which includes €20 worth of blank pottery to paint or a 30 minute session on the wheel. Complimentary teas, coffees and soft drinks are on hand and you are welcome to bring your own wine. For those who would like to book a separate late party evening for an adult group, we will open the studio for you. All you need is 10 peple or more. Irish Heritage Week

Heritage Week 2010 will run from the 21st to the 29th of August. Throughout the week, Artworks will run workshops to celebrate Irish culture & heritage. We will show you how to design and paint your own pottery reflecting images of Irish cultural, mythological and historical importance. More details  on Heritage events at the end of May.
